Are you sharing your blog posts on Twitter often enough?
What I hear from way too many bloggers is that they’re sharing their blog posts just once on Twitter. Just once, yes.
Usually after they’ve published it, with a great sense of accomplishment that it’s been sent out for the world to see it.
And then they’re disappointed when nobody notices.
Well, Twitter is moving too fast for this single tweet to make any difference. It’s like a raindrop in the ocean, nobody hears it when it falls.
You might as well not be using Twitter at all if you’re hoping to get any readers for your blog post just by sending out this one tweet.
So how many times should you tweet your blog posts?
If on Facebook you schedule 2-3 updates throughout a week, using different times of the day, and possibly a couple more times in the next month or so, what should you do on Twitter?
On Twitter you should probably share it at least 5 times more.
This means about 10-15 times at least.
That’s right, once you publish a new post, tweet it immediately and schedule it to tweet about 5 more times during that day.
And then schedule it for about 5-10 more times throughout the rest of the week.
Too much, you think? I encourage you to try it and tell me how it works for you!
What are some tools to use for scheduling?
